10 Second 1969 XLCH

Rich Adams piloted the old girl to a 10:781 @ 122.88. She was a little off due to high humidity and heat and a bog out of the hole. Rich has run 10:22 @128 at Island on a good weather day. The Helmet cam is a great tool. This video is what I needed.

This was Great to see,That Bike has alot of Soul, I am Sure there will be a Fuel Bike Cam sometime in 2013!

Yes a Fuel bike helmet cam is in the cards for 2013. It is a great concept as well as a defacto Tach playback tool! Based on some bad news gotten today Island may be closed for good. I hope not as John and the rest of the folks worked hard to get through these bad economic times and were very gratious to the bikes. The Fuel bike is ready for opening day and it may be at New England Dragway with its long shutdown. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY will be in the best condition ever since the nhra will be active here in 2013. this track in my opion is just as FAST or FASTER than ATCO. its almost sea level. it will be alot less in travel expense for us here in ct. we will not have to cross the hudson .NO TOLLS NO 10 MILE BACKUPS. i will be racing at NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY in 2013.with my 1980 era.. prodragster [panster 103in.] nitro carb.right now i am mending a broken femour.MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. John that is great news! I agree on all of your points. I am happy to hear you are healing. My wounds as you may hve heard will take longer to heal. I will say this however, nothing like the twist of a throttle on a nitro Harley to take a man away from the troubles in his life and I intend on lots of therapy God willing. With NE getting the first inaugual NHRA event this year watch how nice the track gets with the new makeover. It has always been an excellant place to race as I use to ge there with ECRA as well as for local races back in the 80's.

We all have our hurdles to jump. Some we see in the distance so we can prepare our game, and some come very unexpectedly. Some we clear, some we graze, and some cause us to topple and fall. We can on occasion get up and resume the race with full knowledge of where we went wrong and hurdle the next gate with ease and confidence. Then there is the hurdle that you encounter when you get knocked for a loop mentally and physically and question your own inner self for the answer on why. It is that fall that allows you realize how many lives you have touched along the way when you see how many hands were there to pick you up and point you back in the right direction. Perform a random act of kindness to someone. I can tell you first hand that it comes back to you ten fold and then some. Thank you my friends I will never forget what you have done for me.
